State of Montana Data Center Electrical Changes

Recent law changes will impact Data Center processes. OSHA and NFPA-70E laws have changed and a Data Center can no longer have an exception for performing live electrical work. When power is installed or removed, the main breaker must now be turned off for work to be performed. If your equipment is not dual powered, you may experience an outage when electrical work is being performed. Montana recognized as national leader in transparency in government spending

A report released March 18 by the U.S. Public Interest Research Group (U.S. PIRG) heralds Montana as a national leader in providing transparency in government spending. ECM pilot moving into fifth sprint

The Montana Department of Labor and Industry (DLI) and SITSD are partnering on a pilot project designed to evaluate Perceptive Software's suite of enterprise content management (ECM) products on DLI's workforce assistance application process. Montana's eGovernment services result in significant cost savings

The state's online services have grown tremendously since its first web-based presence was launched in 2001. Today, citizens can access more than 300 eGovernment services available from 23 different state departments and agencies that process more than 10 million online transactions annually. State Employees in Lincoln County See Improved Services

State employees in Montana's Lincoln County are enjoying greater bandwidth, improved connectivity and faster Internet speeds thanks to new fiber optic connections in that rural area. The improved service was made possible by an unprecedented partnership between the state, Charter Communications and Vision Net, in conjunction with Montana West and Montana Sky Networks as a result of a fiber build that was part of the BROADBAND USA project.
