TOWN HALL MEETINGS

Great progress has been made on the Statewide 9-1-1 Plan, and the Montana 9-1-1 Program is excited to share the results. So, a second round of Town Hall meetings has been planned. These Town Hall Meetings will provide you with:

  • A summary of the Statewide 9-1-1 plan and its corresponding documents, which have been adopted by the 9-1-1 Advisory Council. These are “living documents,” so your continued input is needed to keep them updated. If you would like to preview them, they are available at this link: https://sitsd.mt.gov/Governance/Boards-Councils/9-1-1/Advisory-Council/Federal-Engineering-Milestone-Deliverables.
  • A status report on the PSAP inventories that were conducted last December and January.
  • An overview of a planning effort that the Montana Association of Counties (MACO) is pursuing that is directed at the procurement and deployment of the statewide Emergency Services Internet Protocol Network (ESInet).  MACO will take the lead with technical support (procurement, network engineering, project management, etc.) provided by the State of Montana’s State Information Technology Division (SITSD), Department of Administration (DOA).

Eric Parry, a Federal Engineering consultant, will facilitate the discussion. As a key stakeholder, we need your continued involvement to provide input on the Statewide 9-1-1 Plan. Your engagement is critical to the collaborative effort needed to advance 9-1-1 in Montana. We want to hear your opinions and encourage you to attend one of the seven meetings around the state:.
