Welcome to the State of Montana’s Information Security Webpage. Significant and continued growth of cyber-attacks against state and local governments makes cyber-security a critical issue for Montana. This site provides guidance that will help protect and preserve the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems that are critical to state and local government, as well as citizens of the State of Montana.
October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month
Maintaining the security of cyberspace is a shared responsibility in which each of us has a critical role to play, and awareness of computer security essentials will improve the security of Montana’s information infrastructure and economy.
National Cyber Security Awareness Month is designed to engage and educate public and private sector partners through events and initiatives to raise awareness about the importance of cybersecurity, provide them with tools and resources needed to stay safe online, and increase the resiliency of the Nation in the event of a cyber incident.
To begin putting this knowledge into practice in your homes, schools, workplaces, and businesses, participate in National Cyber Security Awareness Month. Below are simple ways to get started now. Continue to check back regularly for more information and details.
