SLIGP & FIRSTNET
State and Local Implementation Grant Program
The State and Local Implementation Grant Program (SLIGP) is administered by the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). SLIGP is designed to provide resources to assist state, local and tribal government entities as they plan for the nationwide public safety broadband network (NPSBN) that is being deployed by the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet). NTIA awarded SLIGP grant funding to 54 states and territories to begin planning for the NPSBN and to prepare for consultation with FirstNet. The Bureau is managing Montana’s SLIGP grant.
